One communion server also serves as Worship Assistant who lights and extinguishes candles and assists the Pastors with prayers.
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
1 Corinthians 11:26
This is a vital worship ministry. With so many services each week attended by so many worshippers, the Pastors need the assistance of lay persons to serve Communion , and to administer the blessing and anointing of the
Rite of Healing. Communion includes providing gluten-free wafers, and blessings for children and those not taking wine. Many hands make light work and more team members are needed for these sacramentals.
Who can become a team member?
Any worshipper can become a team member. Training is provided. No previous experience is required.
What’s the time commitment?
Team members are asked to serve once or twice a month for weekly worship and occasionally during Lent and on Festival days.
