Walk to Emmaus

The Committee provides registration and sponsorship information for The Walk to Emmaus.

The Walk to Emmaus seeks to inspire, challenge, and equip leaders for Christian action in their homes, local church, and communities. It is a 72-hour weekend Thursday through Sunday where you will sing, reflect, pray, worship, learn, share Holy Communion, participate in small groups, experience God grace in community and in the world, and understand Christian love in action. It is a total renewal of your faith like you have never experienced.

The Walk to Emmaus is held at the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in Fruitland Park, FL. There is a Walk for Men and a Walk for Women in March and October on separate weekends. Should you decide to participate in this fantastic opportunity you will have a Sponsor to guide you through the whole process answering all your questions. Transportation is provided on Thursday and Sunday.

The Walk to Emmaus does not end after the 72-hour weekend. Small groups of four to six people meet weekly to reflect on their spiritual journey and encourage one another in Christian discipleship.
