Spirit Ringers

The Spirit Ringers compliment worship services at Hope Lutheran Church through their musical offerings with handbells and chimes.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!

A handbell choir uses handbells &/or chimes to produce a beautiful tone that complements the worship experience. Ringers play two or more bells or chimes. The ability to read music is helpful. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm (except summers).

The Need

Hope Lutheran Church strives to enrich the framework of worship with a variety of musical offerings by many different groups. Spirit Ringers is one of those groups. The Ringers use three octaves of handbells. Each ringer plays two or more bells. Some arrangements call for the use of hand chimes. Spirit Ringers perform during Sunday worship about seven times between September and May.

Who can become a Spirit Ringer?

Any person who can read music is invited to contact the director. Previous experience is a plus, but not required.

What’s the time commitment?
