Blue Christmas Worship
For those suffering through grief, illness, or loneliness, the ‘Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ may not feel so wonderful. Those touched by loss and depression can feel especially isolated or cheerless during the Christmas season. What is Red and Green for some is Blue for others, and it can be difficult to find joy in a season clouded by sadness. If you or someone you know is struggling with grief or anxiety this Christmas season, Hope Lutheran Church invites you to our annual Blue Christmas Worship. This special service offers an opportunity to give your loss to God and experience Christmas worship without the grand ceremony or the demand to "be jolly." Wednesday Evening Prayer
Hope Lutheran Church is offering regular Wednesday Evening Prayer at 6:00 pm in the Hope Central Campus sanctuary. For Wednesdays outside of Advent or Lent, the prayer service will be a simple service based on Evensong, or Vespers, which is the traditional Evening Prayer from the book of Evangelical Lutheran Worship. The worship consists of prayers, a psalm, canticles and a Scripture reading. During the seasons of Advent or Lent, more specialized or topical services will be offered, as have been in past years. The service will be led each week by one of the pastors or deacons and is open for all who would like to have a short, prayerful time with God in the midst of our community. Wednesday Evening Prayer has been purposefully scheduled with our weekly Social Suppers in mind. Those who attend the Social Supper... Learn More →

Centering Prayer
Room 204, Saturdays at 9:00 am. Christ himself invites us to learn this way in Matthew 6:6, “But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” This new way is called Centering Prayer. It does not replace the traditional way of praying but builds upon it. Many of our church members practice Centering Prayer already and they invite you to join them. Learn More →
